Like many others, I didn't start running until I was an overweight adult. I spent my youth running around soccer fields and basketball courts, but the idea of running without a ball seemed ridiculous to my foolish younger self. If I only knew then, what I know now! After gaining more-than-a-few pounds in my 30s, I put on my running shoes and I haven't looked back. Now in my 40s, I have run more than 2600 documented miles including over 45 races. I have fallen in love with the running community and have a passion for all things fitness. I have a weakness for fitness gadgets, I love new fitness clothes, and I'm constantly on the look-out for new healthy wheat-free recipes I can make at home.
Here are 5 things you might like to know about me:
1. I'm a Midwest girl, grew up in Cincinnati, but now live in southern New Hampshire.
2. Running is my favorite activity, but I love trying new things and staying active. I'm a big fan of SurfSet.
3. I love to run with my dog, even though we keep it short now for the old guy.
4. I don't mind running in the snow and cold.
